i've been practising lucid dreaming for nearly a year.

i can sometimes hover over earth, and watch time move rapidly forward of back. it's like pressing play and watching the planet rotate on it's axis. + google earth zoom.

What i came to the conslusion is, that when 2012 rolls around, the intense solar flares caused by the equator of our Black hole will create a powerful EMP effect.

This EMP effect will weaken Mother Earth's defense shield.

This Geo-Electro-Magnetic Field (GEM Aura) protects our atmosphere from intense ultraviolet and infared energies that are blasted upon us from these Solar Flares.

When these solar flares peak when we reach the Galactic Equator (2012, dec 21) the polar ice caps will abruptly melt, causing the next "Great Flood"

When this flood shifts and re-distributes the weight of our planet, the wobble(precision of the equinoxes) will change forming new poles relative to the center of our Galaxy.

I'm trying this so I can finally get part 2 of my dream. Here is how the first one went.

>Myself and my evil self get separated from eachother (evil self is just a silhouette of me but completely black (kind of like game&watch))
>I talk my evil self into merging back together
>He agrees, I guess I'm just so apathetic that my evil self isn't even evil
>We need to find the talismand or something to merge together
>Need to drive through Oklahoma to get there
>Oklahoma is just a giant drive through cave
>Evil self and I are driving a red corvette into the cave
>Boulders start crashing down, caving in the entrance once we get inside

How do you continue to dream once you're lucid? The few times it happened to me I tried to slice some bitches up like Travis Touchdown and woke up immediately.

Also, once you get good at checking reality etc. does it get annoying how often you have these dreams? It would really suck waking up multiple times each night due to lucid dreams.

I like lucid nightmares. You can still control a lot of things and it's fun because you already know you're dreaming and can't really get killed or hurt.

It's like going to one of those haunted houses but way more fun and intense.

I remember having a blast running from Michael Myers in a cornfield, hiding in a large trunk, just hoping he wouldn't come in the room and find me.

It's easier to simply be conscious in your dream world than to change it. I've found that I need to "expect" something to be there for it to be. Turning a corner and knowing a gun will be sitting there is easier than having it spawn in your hands.

I use DILD mentioned above, with dream signs and reality tests. It's not consistent--I go lucid once, maybe twice a week--but I've never had sleep paralysis. A lot of people say mirrors will cause it...they make everything funky (swirly or wavy, almost) but it's not scary to me.

-DO NOT DO THIS-

Seriously, I had an incident that occurred when I tried this 2 years ago. I practiced lucid dreaming for a while, got bits and pieces. Then one night it all changed.

I had a horrible dream I was in hell. But it was not a dream, I could not wake up. I was, essentially, trapped yet unable to speak.

I was downstairs in my parents house, in our kitchen/dining area. I was stuck in a chair in the middle of the kitchen, or didn't want to get up. Everything was bathed in a bright red moonlight and there was no electricity. The only colors around were red and shades of black, like playing a Virtual Boy game, or in an old red room of a photo darkroom. There was no sound but me, everything was still but me, and the chair I was in, which was made of stone in the middle of the room began growing wrought-iron black "vines" that began wrapping around me. I suddenly sat in the chair for what felt like 1,000 years, in pain, as the thorns of the black iron vines moved around in me like knives. There were no people left, I was all alone in this red world.

I was alone in a torture chair in a red, empty world and it lasted forever. Eventually I grew hungry but did not die, tired but I could not sleep. When time passed and the pain subsided, I began to feel utterly lonely, like I was a universe apart from all that is good. Nobody was coming to save me, I don't even remember how it ended.

I refuse to believe it was just a dream, yet it was.
>> Anonymous 07/12/10(Mon)23:13 No.66699XXX
So how do you actually do this?

Have you ever actually been pierced by an arrow or stabbed or something like that? If not, I'd say you'll probably be fine as long as you don't panic. You'll probably feel some mild discomfort in the area; like an itch, numbness, or a relatively mild sore/pain.

The best ways to get out of any dream Lucid or not are to shut eyes then quickly force them open (works for most), or struggle for a bit trying to wake up / getting excited.

If it is sleep paralysis though, swallowing saliva a lot or wiggling your toes a lot will wake you up (although you will feel very disoriented for a few minutes, as if you are going to fall over).

So today I got busted and arrested for the coupons. I went to the local Wal-Mart and went in with the AMP coupon, got a case and came to the checkout. I always check who is working as loss protection, sometimes it's these burly scary guys but today it was a girl I recognized from university, this exchange student from Estonia. She was gorgeous, tall but of course female and my age, so she probably would be lenient and not give chase if I ran out the door. So I'm at the register trying out the coupon, when the old lady there gives me the stink eye, turns and goes to the manager. I freeze up and the fat guy behind me in the line says "oooh you did something baaad". The old lady points to me, the manager starts powerwalking over, I really didnt know what to do now. I break eye contact and I basically grab the coupon and bolt out the door. The hot estonian chick is eying me, and the manager shouts for her to follow.

I'm running through the parking lot and I look behind me. The estonian chick is chasing me WTF and she looks angry. I run as fast as I can but suddenly I'm slammed in the back by about 145 pounds of raging soft female flesh. Suddenly I'm down on the ground and she was using her surprising strength to keep me locked up, with her think chun-li thighs crushing my midsection and her large soft breasts pressinga against my neck like a pillow. She suddenly whispered in my ear "I have watched you for so long, I want you ssssooo bad". She rolls me over and unzips my pants, and as I'm unable to see, I suddenly feel my hard erection enter a tight, warm, wet hole and she starts groaning in pleasure I am completely immobile and I can feel her tight vagina pulsing along my dick and nobody was coming to help. My punishment for fraud, was rape.

You have an idea what a blowjob feels like, because you've fapped. It won't just feel like fapping, but it will feel similar.

If you get stabbed, it will probably feel what your body thinks it feels like.

I was shot in the stomach twice while lucid dreaming. Felt tingly (like numb), cold and a little sore. Then, stomach acid began going down and I could feel the soreness spreading lower, like my organs were being affected by the stomach acid.

All in all, it wasn't that bad. And that was before I realized you could control a lucid dream, so I couldn't even negate the pain really.

MILD stands for Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreams or Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams. It was developed by Stephen LaBerge of the Lucidity Institute. It involves repeating a mantra over and over in your head to make it come true. It is used to improve dream recall or to induce lucid dreams. This is often considered a technique which quickly shows results and is generally more reliable than WILD. It is also simple and easy to understand. Remember, though, that everybody's different and you might need to work a bit harder at it. Also, it is a bit boring as it involves repeating the same thing over and over.

Before you fall asleep, you can practice MILD and then when you wake up during the night with an alarm clock, you can try another technique such as FILD or WILD. Also, many people have reported MILD to be more reliable when using another technique with it.

You... Are my hero.
>> Anonymous 07/12/10(Mon)23:37 No.66701XXX
>>66701714
>>66701714

You can start now by making up a mantra. It should be quite simple; no more than perhaps 15 words. An example could be "I will wake up after I dream and remember what I dream", or "When I dream, I will become lucid". You might also want to find a mantra made by somebody else, but some people think making your own is better

LaBerge recommends doing MILD soon after waking up from a dream. However, you can also use the technique before you go to sleep if you don't wake up from dreams much. Lie down comfortably and relax. (If you fall asleep at this point, try a less comfortable position next time!). You might want to relax and clear your mind at this point. One way is to focus on the "third eye" spot which is between your eyes and a little bit up. Now start repeating your mantra in your mind. Concentrate on the meaning of it and visualize it being successful, such as rushing to write in your dream diary or beginning to fly in a lucid dream. Be sure to really believe that the technique will work.
>> Anonymous 07/12/10(Mon)23:37 No.66701XXX
>>66701777
>>66701777

(You might want to visualize something wackier, such as a cartoon-style dream bubble. Whatever works for you! You might even not want to visualize at all)

If you have an unrelated thought, ignore it and just keep going with the mantra and visualization. For help with this, you might want to look at meditation techniques and how to "push" thoughts out of your mind.

Keep going until you fall asleep or you think your intention is set into your mind. It's best to have the mantra the last thing you think about before you fall asleep.

After all that, you're asleep and beyond this guide. Good luck lucid dreaming!

Not quite lucid dream related, but maybe I can get some advice here.
I had some sort of unsettling dream about 3 months ago (first in a LONG time, then I had a nightmare about 2 months ago) after which I woke up in my bed, sitting next to a lump of blanket. At first I thought the blanket was a friend who was in the dream, but somehow switched over to me. As soon as I tried to talk to myself a huge slice of the head just disappeared (no blood at all), matching the shape of the clump of blankets. For some reason, this was TERRIFYING and I fell out of my bed and sprained my leg.
Anyone ever had anything like this happen to them? What is it?

Sleep paralysis is scary if you don't know whats going on. Also because your usually able to open your eyes, your hallucinating weird things in front of you often these things are malicious.

Light switches generally work for me, though often the light is inconsistent in brightness when I turn it on a few times.

I've found holding the nose shut and breathing in to be 100% effective. Reading text or the time, then looking away, then reading them again also seems pretty reliable.

Getting too excited probably.

I'm not sure. I've been lucid dreaming since I was a little kid, so I don't remember a time when realizing I was lucid would automatically wake me up. You probably just need more practice.

Dream journal time!

>Talking about something.

So, let me see if I've got this whole WILD thing down. Even though I'm a first-timer, it appeals to me the most because DILDs sound complicated and almost not worth it, what with all the dream signs and journals and stuff (not to mention that you're basically saying dildo, ololol).

So I have to lie in a comfortable position and completely ignore all signals my body gives me, with my eyes closed, to trick myself into thinking I'm asleep. Then, with the onset of sleep paralysis will come hypnagogic illusions, which will eventually either stop or become my dream. If they stop, I'll be looking at my 'dream eyelids' and I can attempt to 'wake up' into the dreaming world, at which point I should perform some reality checks to focus my brain onto my dream body and detach it from signals it may be receiving from my actual body.

Does that sound about right?

Now this is a story
all about how my life
got twisted upside down
and id like to take a minute
just sit right there
ill tell you how i became the prince
of a town called Bel-Air

In west Philadelphia
born and raised
on the playground my momma said
most of my days
chilling out, maxing
and relaxing all cool
and all shooting some b-ball
outside of school
when a couple of guys
they were up to no good
started making trouble in our neighborhood
i got in one little fight and my mom got scared
she said your moving
in with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air

i whisted for a cab and when it came near
the license plate said fresh
and had dice in the mirror
if anything i could say that this cab was rare
but i thought nah, forget it
yo home to bel-air!

i-pulled- up tp a house about seven or eight
i yelled to the cabbie yo home, smell you later
looked at my kingdom i was finally there
to sit on my throne as the prince of bel-air

gonna be a dumb question but how exactly do you do this?

I tried this a few times and I seem to be really unsuccessful, I lied in bed perfectly still for almost 2 hours and nothing happened.

I'm not sure what I was doing wrong, I think it may be my eyes are moving or something and i can't really stop them they just sort of do it on their own.

Another thing is doorways. This works for me a lot. Get into the habit of looking back behind you every time you walk through a doorway, whether you're awake or not.

My experience has been that, in a dream, the doorways are oftentimes inconsistent. Like, you can walk through a doorway and not shut the door behind you, but when you look back the door is shut; or vice versa. Also, the frame of the door can be inconsistent: wood when your going in, but when you look back it's made of stone and the landscape through the "portal" that you just came from looks different from what you remember (daytime suddenly being night; stuff like that).

I didn't care for lucid dreaming at all, until I read some of the scientific studies about it. Then I was like, holy shit, I need to try this.

When I had my first WILD, I nearly fucking exploded with excitement (mirrors are fucking awesome, by the way.).

It altered my perception of everything. I was in this world, created by my brain, where I could feel, hear and see like I could in the real world. I was so fucking blown away I just wandered around touching things doing a reality check every few seconds to make sure I was still asleep.

My god. Lucid dreaming, I don't know how it isn't more well known.

Man. I thought the same thing when I heard about it.

"Lol hippy shit."

There are actual studies done on it, where the experimenters agreed on certain eye movements when they entered the lucid dream state. They then waited and monitored the eyes, once they had entered lucidity and were asleep they performed the eye movements. (As your eye movements in a lucid dream occur in real life.)

Go check out the studies, it's the only thing that convinced me.

Dr. Stephen LaBerge

DO IT.

You guys are stupid.

The only reason scary shit happens to you in your lucid dreams is because you believe scary shit can happen to you and that you don't have control over everything. It's all in your own stupid head, there isn't some force you can't control in your own mind.

Same goes for creepy shit during sleep paralysis. It's just because you feel powerless and let yourself panic. Just knock it off and focus on having an awesome dream.

Sleep paralysis is basically when your body wakes up before it is supposed to and the brain has a hiccup where it doesn't stop releasing a chemical that causes you to be paralyzed. You release the chemical so you don't fuck about in your sleep but if you wake up with it still affecting you, you cannot move and you are afflicted by hallucinations. This is usually what has happened when someone thinks they are "abducted" by aliens.
